At Carpe Diem, we believe that Pilates training is not only to gain core and overall strength, but to increase efficiency of movement and to distribute forces throughout the body that can often cause injury if they "get stuck". To address this movement efficiency and distribution of force, it is important to know where dysfunctional movements come from and how we can re-pattern your body for optimal movement. The Carpe Diem 8-Week Transformation Program has been designed to address your specific unconscious movement patterns and work on making them better. This Carpe Diem 8-Week Tranformation program is designed to address your specific movement patterns and train your neuromuscular system to be both strong and efficient to allow your daily functions to be safe and enjoyable.
The program begins with an initial Carpe Diem specific movement evaluation, allowing us to get a clear understanding of your individual movement patterns. This also gives us an opportunity to create a starting point that we can continuously refer and compare to. Once this evaluation has been completed, we design a Pilates specific program that addresses movement disfunction by neuromuscularly re-patterning your "bad" patterns and strengthening your "good" patterns. Over the 8-week period, we will see changes that create a more balanced and efficient body. This program can address all levels, whether our client is wanting continue post-rehabilitation injury issues, train for healthy movement, or enhance athletic ability for a specific sport. We want our clients to also feel empowered to be able to incorporate their program outside the studio. With this in mind, we also have sessions that are dedicated to specific Pilates mat home program work, allowing the client to extend their practice into their own home or incorporate while traveling.
