Carpe Diem Pilates
Transformational Pilates
The Carpe Diem Pilates Training Programs offer services that range from our Transitional Rehabilitation Training to athletic enhancement. The Carpe Diem philosophy and training approach toward Pilates has had many influences over the last 15 years. Ultimately, we adhere to the standards set forth by the Pilates Method Alliance. When teaching Pilates, our approach is addressing and implementing the "how and why" of movement, rather than just performing a string of exercises. Our process of teaching Pilates always begins with, and will continue to, emphasize the fundamentals of movement. In both individual Pilates instruction and the Carpe Diem GETS CORe group Reformer program, we look at fundemental movements and a neuromuscular approach to Pilates. Your program will teach you to address and pattern the components of movement that are critical for an effective movement outcome for your body. It's like getting a Bachelors Degree on your body! Through both Individual Pilates training or GETS CORe group programming at Carpe Diem, you will learn and establish more functional movement patterns that will transfer into all of your day to day activities, whether this includes high level sport performance, walking up a flight of stairs, or moving more functionally and without pain.
The benefits of Pilates training touch all aspects of our clients' lives. We see decreases in back and joint pain due to stronger core musculature, force distribution and joint alignment throughout the body, as well as better overall energy for daily activities. We also see decreases in shoulder and neck pain because of better posture and muscle balance in the head, neck, shoulders and upper back. We even see better performances in golf, tennis and running because of the increases in flexibility and postural alignment. These are only a few examples of what our clients experience every day when they are involved in the Carpe Diem Pilates Training Program.
