I love to move! I was born and raised under the sunny skies of Long Beach, California and throughout my life I've always stayed active, incessantly trying everything I could. Whether it be hiking the Peruvian Andes, snowboarding, taking aerial arts classes, ice skating competitively,  getting my brown belt in Tae Kwon Do or performing in the Snow Queen Ballet I love to do it all. I guess you could say I'm a pretty adventurous girl. Having the opportunity to appreciate movement from such an early age cemented it into my lifestyle.

When I began to grow and seriously think about continuing to live a balanced and healthy life, I decided to try a vegetarian diet. I continuously researched nutrition and took many classes on the subject. Anything that you do several times day everyday of your whole life is bound to have a profound of effect on your quality of life right? I explored what that meant to me and soon after I encountered Pilates through a dance conditioning class. As a trained dancer I fell into the mind-body exercise world seamlessly. I was captivated at how much I could continue to connect with my body like I did as a dancer, but now I was creating more functional movement that was healthy for my bones and joints. I immediately started to feel better and sit up taller on the days I did Pilates. This is what gave me the desire to teach. Before Pilates, I thought I was an incredibly functional mover and that I was maximizing my potential, I quickly realized that this was not the case. Just like the realizations I came to know about nutrition, I found that by becoming aware of how my body was moving was thoroughly affecting my life and finding a deeper understanding of wellness and connecting my mind to my body has made all the difference. I want to help people better their bodies and achieve things they previously thought were not possible.

I did my Pilates training with the renowned Maria Leone in Beverly Hills and was certified through the Physical Mind Institute. I taught Pilates through private sessions, reformer classes and mat classes at Equinox Fitness in Los Angeles. In addition to my love of moving, I have a passion for art and design. I'm basically obsessed with traveling the world and photographing everything I encounter. I am now here in Eugene to finish up my fine arts/photography degree, at the University of Oregon and to soak up everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I am also in the process of training on the CoreAlign equipment which I am very excited about.
