Jon Leisenring comes to Carpe Diem most recently from Philadelphia. He is a proven leader with a dedicated following, creating winning results for all clients. As an exceptional all around high school athlete, Jon captained his football team to the Pennsylvania State championships in his senior year. He then attended Ithaca College where he played four years of varsity football. Jon's dedication to sports and fitness led him to a career as a fitness trainer and he has been dedicated to furthering his own education and athletic goals through attending a variety of speed/power/agility camps in recent years.

Jon brings an exemplary military background to his training. As a member of the U.S. Navy from 1999 to 2003, he achieved top ranking in the PRT (physical readiness test) 3 straight times. In light of this achievement, he was encouraged to become a Command Fitness Leader. While serving as CFL, he took his ranks from a 70% pass rate to a 100% pass rate in 6 months, demonstrating outstanding leadership in his field. Jon received personal training certifcation from the International Fitness Professional Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Philosophy

Jon's training philosophy is built around developing a strong core and includes core-centric and postural exercises for all clients in order to improve bodily form and function. He specializes in toning and body fat reduction through body weight exercises; muscle defnition with dynamic weight training, as well as boot camp-style military training. He excels at sport specifc speed/balance/power training through plyometric and agility drills.
