Faculty, Balanced Body University
Master Trainer, CoreAlign
Mentor, Polestar Pilates Education
Pilates Method Alliance® Certified Pilates Instructor
As a little girl and throughout her teenage years, Hayley was involved in many different competitive sports, with the consistent thread being sprinting and dance. During her early years, she became more and more aware that many people don’t feel comfortable being in and moving their bodies. With the love, respect and interest of the body, she attended the University of Oregon and went through the pre-med program. Having a personal life path change of family and children, she returned to teaching dance. Combining various movement techniques such as Pilates mat work with her dance and with the sole-heart intention of helping people understand and feel good moving in their bodies, she had tremendous results both physically and mentally with her clients and classes.
In 1998, she and her husband Shawn opened a Pilates and Personal Training studio Carpe Diem, and have and continue to travel extensively in the US and abroad developing her skills with Pilates and movement modalities such as CoreAlign. She has had extensive training through Polestar Pilates Education, receiving both her Studio and Allegro certificates, as well as an Advanced Spine certificate. Hayley is also a mentor for Polestar Pilates Education and assists in conducting Pilates Education courses. She has taken many advanced workshops and even had the privilege of attending workshops conducted by Pilates elders that were trained by Joseph Pilates himself. Her main passion at Carpe Diem has been developing the concept of comprehensive neuromuscular assessment and group programming for the Pilates setting.
In 2010, Hayley became the first official Master Trainer for the CoreAlign training system. Hayley and her husband have opened the first CoreAlign group training studio in United States which will hold ongoing CoreAlign training courses. She is continuing her inovative approach to programming and development for CoreAlign systemization. She is very proud of the success of these programs and the countless number of clients that have been helped by taking part in the Carpe Diem Programs she has developed.
I feel that my true path is to educate and develop people’s awareness so they can gain control in order feel more comfortable in their bodies. My way of facilitating this is through Pilates and CoreAlign modalities.
